Little Waves Stitch
If you're looking for a wavy or textured stitch then the little waves stitch might just be what you're looking for, using just fpdc and double crochet clusters throughout it creates a reversible pattern that is quick to work up.
This stitch can be used to make a variety of things here a just a few;
-Blanket
-Cushion Cover
-Basket
You can work this stitch using one colour or mix it up for some beautiful wavy stripes, whatever you do it is sure to look amazing.
This is a fairly easy stitch pattern to master as it is just a one row repeat, yes you did read that right!? It's hard to believe those waves and texture comes from simple repeat.
I hope you like this stitch and put it to good use. Don't forget to tag me in your makes @crochetedit_uk, I love to see what you guys have been up to.

Materials:
Yarn - Any yarn will do except fluffy ones as you will not see the desired wave effect.
Hook - Use a hook that is a size smaller than the smallest hook suggested on the yarn (this eliminates any holes and gives a nice tight wave).
Gauge
For my swatch I used did 24 + 5. I used a Aran yarn using a 3.5mm hook. My swatch measures 5.5" x 6".
Abbrieviations:
Tr - Treble Crochet
Sk - Skip
Ch - Chain
Tr-cl - Treble Crochet Cluster
Fptr - Front Post Treble Crochet
Sts - Stitches
Rep - Repeat
Lps - Loops
Sl st - Slip Stitch
Special Stitches -
Treble Crochet Cluster (tr cl): Yo, insert hook in indicated st, yo, pull up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps on hook (2 lps on hook), [yo, insert hook in same st, yo, pull up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps] twice (4 lps on hook), yo, draw through all 4 lps on hook.
Pattern
To start you will need to chain multiples of 8 + 5.
Row 1: Tr in 4th ch from hook (3 sk ch counts as first tr ), tr in next ch, *sk 2 ch, tr cl in next ch, sk 2 ch, 1 tr in next 3 ch, rep from *to end.
Row 2: Ch 2, fptr in next 2 sts, tr cl in ch-sp of tr cl, *fptr in next 3 sts, tr cl in ch-sp of tr cl, rep from * to last 3 fptr, fptr in next 2 sts, tr in top of turning ch.
Repeat Row 2 until you reach your desired length.
If you want to finish with a straight edge instead of a wavy edge then continue to next row. If you would like to finish with a wavy edge then fasten off and sew in ends.
Last Row: Ch 2, fptr in next 2 sts, *ch 2, sl st in ch-sp from tr cl, ch 2, rep to last 3 sts, fptr in next 2 sts, tr in turning ch.
Now you have a nice straight edge, this is useful if you are making a project that required sewing after, for ex. a cushion cover.
